Although not together anymore, Botch is and has to be considered as the band that built the foundations of noisecore. Today members of the band are spread to various groups such as These Arms Are Snakes and Minus The Bear. Along with Converge and Cave In, Botch helped hardcore music evolve, making it unpredictable and much more extreme.
American Nervoso has been considered as the setup to We Are the Romans, one of the greatest albums in the extreme sound the past decade.
